History

GALGO is a world-class manufacturer of rubber products for various applications.

1952

The company started in Mexico City with the purchase of a tire factory.

1960

Machinery was acquired to manufacture industrial rubber boots and automotive parts.

1970

“Compañía Hulera Omega” is inaugurated, dedicated to manufacturing rubber flooring, gaskets, packaging, and rubber mats.

1980

The company opens a new plant in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, for the production of rubber boots.

1982

A new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility opened in Tula Hidalgo for the production of rubber products for retreading.

1998

GALGO opens a distribution center in Dallas, Texas, to supply the United states market.

1999

GALGO received ISO 9001-2000 certification in the three production plants and the corporate office in Mexico city. We also adopted the SAP R/3 system to improve the company´s processes and operations.

2009

The president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon Hinojosa, presented GALGO with the NATIONAL EXPORT AWARD in the INMEX foreign trade category for achieving excellence in international trade operations.

2012

Certified as a Socially Responsible Company (ESR).

2013

GALGO opens a new distribution center in Tula, Hidalgo. The new distribution center can hold 3,300 pallets and is equipped with barcode and QR readers that provide real-time inventory availability.

2014

GALGO installs a cogeneration power plant to provide electricity for the production process.

2015

A new 5-axis CNC machine is acquired to manufacture molds in-house.

2017

We received the “Three Peak Mountain Snowflake” [3PMSF] certification for our winter design line.

2018

A new DMU85 CNC machine is acquired to make molds.
